Strategy

Create a multimedia advocacy campaign focused on personal storytelling that challenges the culture of silence surrounding sexual harassment and sparks public conversation.

Execution

Multimedia storytelling

  • Produced 16 short documentary-style videos featuring individuals sharing personal stories and perspectives on sexual harassment. UNFPA Jordan YouTube

  • Highlighted experiences in workplaces, public spaces, and online environments

Digital advocacy

  • Designed and launched the #SpeakUpJO (#لازم_نحكي) social media campaign. UNFPA Jordan Facebook post

  • Produced campaign graphics and social media storytelling content

Partnerships & public engagement

  • Implemented the campaign in partnership with the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Sub-Working Group, co-led by UNFPA and UNHCR

  • Generated international media coverage, including features by Al Jazeera and the Associated Press

Protecting Sexual and Reproductive Health During COVID-19

Goal

Emphasize the importance of keeping sexual and reproductive health services available during the COVID-19 pandemic while increasing awareness and support for EngenderHealth’s global programs.

Strategy

Developed a digital storytelling campaign combining program reporting, photojournalism, and multimedia content from EngenderHealth country offices to demonstrate how sexual and reproductive health services were continuing during the pandemic.

The campaign integrated advocacy, storytelling, and fundraising through coordinated digital communications.

Execution

Storytelling & content

  • Wrote and edited a series of blog stories highlighting program responses to COVID-19 across multiple countries. EngenderHealth blog post

  • Produced multiple video stories documenting community and health system responses

  • Developed social media graphics and storytelling content showcasing program impact

Digital campaign development

  • Created a dedicated COVID-19 section of the EngenderHealth website

  • Implemented a donation lightbox and ran paid social media ads directing audiences to the campaign fundraising page

Global coordination

  • Collaborated with country offices to gather stories and visual content

  • Integrated campaign messaging across social media, donor emails, and fundraising communications

  • Increased visibility of EngenderHealth’s global sexual and reproductive health programs during the COVID-19 pandemic
