#SpeakUpJo: 16 Voices on Sexual Harassment

Goal

Raise awareness about sexual harassment in Jordan and encourage survivors and allies to speak openly about the issue as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

Strategy

Designed a multimedia advocacy campaign centered on personal storytelling to challenge the culture of silence around sexual harassment and spark public conversation.

Execution

Multimedia storytelling

  • Produced 16 short documentary-style videos featuring individuals sharing personal stories and perspectives on sexual harassment

  • Highlighted experiences in workplaces, public spaces, and online environments

Digital advocacy

  • Designed and launched the #SpeakUpJo (#لازم_نحكي) social media campaign

  • Produced campaign graphics and social media storytelling content

Partnerships & public engagement

  • Campaign implemented in partnership with the Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Sub-Working Group, co-led by UNFPA and UNHCR

  • Supported a public #SpeakUpJo Fair bringing together more than 20 organizations addressing gender-based violence

Impact

  • Reached 650,000+ people across digital platforms

  • Generated international media coverage, including Al Jazeera and The Associated Press

Protecting Sexual and Reproductive Health During COVID-19

Goal

Highlight the importance of maintaining sexual and reproductive health services during the COVID-19 pandemic while supporting fundraising and awareness for EngenderHealth’s global programs.

Strategy

Developed a digital storytelling campaign combining program reporting, photojournalism, and multimedia content from EngenderHealth country offices.

Execution

Storytelling & content

  • Produced 4 blog stories highlighting COVID-19 program responses across multiple countries

  • Produced 3 video stories documenting community and health system responses

  • Developed social media graphics and storytelling content

Digital campaign development

  • Created a dedicated COVID-19 section of the EngenderHealth website

  • Implemented a donation lightbox and coordinated paid social media ads directing audiences to the campaign fundraising page

Global coordination

  • Collaborated with country offices to gather stories and visual content

  • Integrated campaign messaging into social media, donor emails, and fundraising communications
